Christopher Lawson-Palmer
A little bit about me & what I do ...
Christopher-Lawson Palmer is a formally trained: vocalist, instrumentalist (piano, trumpet, violin), dancer (ballet, modern, hip-hop), visual artist (painter, sculpturist), and actor.
He began his career at age 5 performing in countless National TV re-enactments in Homicide Hunter and Fatal Attraction, Toyota Commercials, Films, Theatre, and recently filmed a Music Video. Christopher-Lawson has graced the stages of the Carousel Theatre (UTK), the Tennessee Theatre (dancing the French Variation with the Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker), the Tennessee Amphitheater and has performed with local companies such as Carpetbag Theatre, WordPlayers, Cattywampus Puppet Council, Dancers Studio, the Satanic Mechanics and the Knoxville Children’s Theatre (KCT).
He also performs regularly as a guest artist with Blue Hawaii, a Polynesian Dance Ensemble. His recent film credits include a music video, Static Friends, and featured films: Flirting with Azrael, Solace, and Marbles and Bullets, where Christopher-Lawson Palmer plays a Lead Role (opposite two-time Tony Award Winner, Shuler Hensley).
In the past year, Christopher-Lawson Palmer’s theatre credits include KCT’s musical Aladdin, drama Anne of Green Gables, comedy Winnie the Pooh, and musical Hairspray. Christopher-Lawson was last seen performing with the Satanic Mechanics production of Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Tennessee Theatre and the Tivoli Theatre in Chattanooga, TN.
Christopher-Lawson is a member of the Knoxville Christian Youth Band (trumpeter) and is the pianist for the Knoxville Youth Jazz Orchestra. He can be seen performing regularly around the city of Knoxville with these two music ensembles. Christopher-Lawson Palmer is homeschooled and spends his time on rigorous academics, his additional hobbies include tennis, chess, yoga, cooking, and playing and performing with his two sisters, Saiya and Nola Palmer.
